Humified Polyphenol Complex / fEED Grade

HPC

It is a high-humidity organic substance derived from humic substances that have naturally decomposed over millions of years in glacial wetlands. These decomposition processes involve pressure, geothermal heat and time, along with microbial metabolism, resulting in polymerization, condensation and oxidation of ancient plant material. During the humidification process, functional plant-based metabolites containing carcyl, hydroxyl, polyphenol, and quinone functional groups are produced. It becomes a key molecular building block.
As a natural additive, HPC not only optimizes the health and welfare of livestock.
Improves sustainability by reducing the need for synthetic chemicals in agricultural environments.

Advantages of
HPC

Enhancement of Mineral Solubility through Chelation

HPC complex form chelate bonds with essential minerals, improving their solubility and making them more bio-available for absorption in the animal’s body.

Increased Survival by Neutralizing Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS)

Functional groups of HPC, such as carboxyl (-COOH) and hydroxyl (-OH) and polyphenol functional groups trap reactive oxygen species (ROS) produced by stress factors such as heat, crowding, and cold. This reduces oxidative stress, improving survival rates in animals.

Detoxification through Redox Reactions

HPC engages in redox reactions that inhibit the activation of toxic substances present in feed, reducing their harmful effects.

Suppression of hydrogen sulfide gas production

HPC promotes the growth of beneficial aerobic bacteria that compete with sulfate-reducing bacteria that is responsible for producing H₂S in anaerobic conditions by reducing sulfates or sulfites. By increasing the population of aerobic bacteria, HPC limits the conditions that allow H₂S production.

Prevention of Stress-Inducing Substance Adsorption

Functional groups of HPC, such as carboxyl (-COOH) and hydroxyl (-OH) and polyphenol groups bind to toxin molecules, residual pesticide, heavy metal and Aflatoxins forming stable complexes. This complexes reduce the toxicity of the toxins and aids from adhering to the walls of the digestive tract. This helps protect healthy cells from toxin damage and ensures better overall health.

Improvement of Carbon-to-Nitrogen Ratio (C/N Ratio)

HPC optimizing the C/N ratio of feed and stimulates the growth and activity of beneficial gut microorganisms, enhancing gut health and preventing issues like diarrhea.

Inhibition of Toxic Ammonia Production

HPC encapsulates urea in the urine and preventing its conversion into toxic ammonia or nitrate nitrogen, reducing the risk of ammonia toxicity.
