Azardirachtin EC 5%

Technical Grade Neem Extract

Technical Grade 5% Azadirachtin is a concentrated form of the active ingredient Azadirachtin,
extracted from neem seed kernels and oil. 5% Azadirachtin indicates that the product contains 5% pure Azadirachtin by weight.
The remaining 95% is usually made up of other compounds such as neem oil, surfactants, and water.
In practical use, technical grade 5% azadirachtin can be further processed or diluted into various formulations (emulsifiable concentrates or aqueous solutions, etc.)
for use in agricultural applications for the control of insects, nematodes.

Various Uses of Neem Oil

It is a highly effective biopesticide that inhibits the growth and reproduction of pests and is a widely used active ingredient in many organic and environmentally friendly pesticides. Technical grade Neem extract azadirachtin EC 5% is the highest concentration of active ingredient available in the market for formulation into various pesticide products.

Benefits of 5% Azadirachtin EC

Broad-Spectrum Insecticide

Azadirachtin targets a wide range of pests, including aphids, whiteflies, beetles, caterpillars, leafhoppers, and more. It is effective against over 400 species of insects, making it versatile for crop protection.

Low Toxicity

Azadirachtin has low toxicity to mammals and birds, making it safer for use in environments where human and animal exposure is a concern. It is commonly used in organic farming due to its safety profile.

Resistance Management

Since azadirachtin targets the hormonal systems of insects rather than their nervous systems, it has a unique mode of action compared to synthetic pesticides. This makes it less likely for pests to develop resistance, helping manage long-term pest control.

Systemic and Contact Activity

Azadirachtin works both as a contact insecticide and a systemic one when absorbed by the plant. This dual activity ensures that pests attacking the plant externally or feeding on plant tissue from within are controlled.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Compatibility

It is ideal for use in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs, as it can be combined with other biological or chemical pest control methods without disrupting the ecosystem or causing significant harm to non-target species.

Eco-Friendly and Biodegradable

Being derived from neem seeds, Azadirachtin is a natural, eco-friendly pesticide. It breaks down quickly in the environment, leaving minimal residues, making it safe for ecosystems, beneficial insects (such as bees and ladybugs), and humans.

Inhibits Insect Growth and Reproduction

Azadirachtin works by disrupting the hormonal system of insects. It interferes with the molting process, preventing larvae from developing into adults, and also inhibits reproduction, reducing pest populations over time.

Safe for Use on Food Crops

Due to its natural origin and minimal residue, Azadirachtin EC is often approved for use on food crops, including vegetables, fruits, and grains, making it ideal for sustainable farming practices.

Non-Toxic to Beneficial Organisms

Azadirachtin is selective, meaning it is less harmful to beneficial organisms like pollinators(bees) and predatory insects (such as ladybugs), which play a crucial role in maintaining a balanced ecosystem in agricultural environments.

No Phytotoxicity

When applied correctly, Azadirachtin EC is non-phytotoxic, meaning it won’t harm plants. This makes it a reliable option for protecting a wide variety of crops without damaging them.
